Donald Trump 2024 Presidential Campaign Announcement Nov. 15

Hey look, it's P_X, glad you could join us this evening ;)

Totally off topic: I did finally add a sub to our Sonos system several months back, just a startling difference, it's pretty spectacular with the Arc + Gen 3 sub, and they have a Mini Sub product now.

Let us know if you want the name back. :)

He did a good job, in comparison to his usual self. He was in the zone and was on message, and laid off the fraud.

I watched the first bit, about 5 minutes, I understand what you're saying. While his rhetoric is idiotic, he delivered it very focused and well rehearsed. If you wanted to hear that kind of bull shit, that's about as good as it can be delivered.

I think he seemed a little too spry, watch whatever they jacked him up with, send him to the ER tonight ...

I bet Trump thinks people still lineup outside Tower Records for the midnight release of the latest Guns n' Roses album.

Heard his handlers stripped back what makes him appealing to his base. Maybe Mark Wahlberg can explain to him how he successfully walked away from the Funky Bunch. I look forward to Calvin Klein's The Donald summer underwear collection ads. :ROFLMAO:

He's had two years to practice it. Trump's always been jacked up on his own supply. We all know he was rehearsing it in his head every day since he lost.

Oh yeah, and it was a whole bunch of nothing repeated over and over, hahah, 2 years for 5 minutes of drivel seems about right :ROFLMAO: The daughter remembers 10x the material in a week for drama :D

That was more than I could take, it was maybe 2 minutes for me. It reminded me just how much I hated hearing his voice all the time, so full of hate, vitriol and vengeance all the time. People can slam Biden all they want but the change of pace to a normal sane person who isn't tweeting insane shit 24/7 has been so refreshing. I don't care if we have another Republican president TBH, but that maniac should be muzzled and locked away somewhere.

Yeah but from snippets referred to in the NYT, he ran the same old grim gloomy "American carnage" thing and proposes he alone can fix it. F that, I'm not listening to that all over again. No wonder the GOP doesn't want him on the trail either. The guy can be a real downer. But the real reason the GOP doesn't want him in the picture is outcomes: the guy is a full-on magnet for Republican losses, macro and micro.
Loved how he and the GOP ran ads with rampant crime and destruction and said Biden would have crime run rampant. While crime was up and running rampant while Mango was president. Crime increased pre-Pandemic on his watch.

I still totally love it that ever since Biden's inaguration, I don't wake up wondering what official government policy Trump just casually tweaked on Twitter in the wee hours. From all accounts, the leaders of our mililtary feel that way too, and similarly DHS, State, Treasury, the Federal Reserve, and leaders of both parties (yeah both) in both chambers of Congress. The Rs sought to use him but they loathed his impulsivity and malleability as well, and as it happens, rightly so.

Trump was in fact the most impulsive and malleable yet willful, incompetent and self-absorbed headcase of a president we had ever elected. That's leaving aside corruption and criminality and questions of whether he has ever compromised our national interests for his own purposes or because of some vulnerability of which we remain unaware.

Anyway, once was enough. Once was more than enough. Man, people in other countries must be slack-jawed that we now apparently permit this guy to stand for any public office again. I am still hoping but don't allow myself to expect that he'll get nailed on charges of having incited insurrection and trigger a 14th Amendment disqualification from running for prez again.

Expect prominent Republicans to announce anti-Trump votes in the primaries if this campaign of his actually picks up steam. Murdoch putting the kibosh on support of him, well I hope he sticks to it.

And yet Trump could end up on the general election ballot in 2024. How is it even possible? Who knows.

I need not to rent this guy space in my head again. I was so happy when he didn't show up very often!

Yeah, with a slightly clearer head this morning, I watched more excerpts, in retrospect, I guess I saw a lot less than I realized, more like 1-2 minutes like you, and they were about as much of a (ugh ...) "highlight" as they could extract because holy hell, most of the rest was terrible. I must've seen the 90 seconds of peak crank effect, because he ran out of energy pretty quickly and the rest was a real slog.

According to this Presidential News Conferences counter, Trump held 1, 5, and 3 press conferences 2016-2019. Biden held 6 last year and 4 so far in 2022.

In 2021 Biden had 166 interactions with reporters. Trump's numbers in his years were 108, 178, 220, and 194. So not sure what you're talking about. Biden's numbers seem pretty average and in some cases better.

So when he walks by the press who are shouting questions that he ignores counts as an interaction?

Who's P_X? I'm trillüx;)

I watch Biden's press conferences and I honestly do not see him doing that any more than Trump. I see Biden take plenty of questions, its only when he doesnt that its pointed out. He took a question yesterday just to deliver a short statement.
