We saw a Pontiac Aztek the other day (which is pretty rare, most of them dissolved out of pure shame ...), but the wife was like, "Nope, the cybertruck is still uglier and WAY stupider"

While there are certainly some common goals, there are definitely some major conflicts (both in the end game and how to get there). Given the extreme narcissism with those two, I'd definitely bet on something blowing up (hopefully not literally ...) sooner than later.

I'm sure they're very regionally concentrated. Like Honda only imported 65K or so S2000s over their entire life cycle, but I used to see a ton of them around here (including our own garage )

And it's just so startling, and ugly, it stands out, we have a decent amount of Rivians around here (more than cybertrucks by my estimate) and sometimes I don't even notice them (especially if you don't see the fun, googly headlights)

Yeah it's crazy right now, especially for Tesla owners because most would need to eat equity in order to stand on principle and I'm not going to blame them for purchasing a car before Musk started all of this.

It's funny because I basically said this same thing on Reddit and got blasted for it, mob mentality is strong at the moment.

As much as might I agree that we should cut people putting food on their table some slack (and those who bought Teslas years ago), let's also not both sides this. People protesting Teslas and not being nice or fair aren't the same as those actively dismantling American democracy or those rooting for/excusing that. My concern is that we may soon find a little mob mentality to apply social pressure to shut this shit down now will look quaint in comparison to what will actually be necessary to really shut this shit down.

So, what is the "massive fraud" that can happen if a SSN is duplicated? They are only going to send out one check, as far as I can tell. If multiple people have the same number, that just means one account is collecting all their FICA taxes, but only one retirement check can go out.
