The Republican Agenda 2021 and Forward

The US has a record of executing innocent people. One is too many. As if decided by a jury is supposed to be comforting. 😳

Not really disagreeing, but along similar lines to some the main reason we need to deport 20 million people is because a relative handful of them committed crimes, including murder. One is too many.

Just watch 12 Angry Men. I doubt that it‘s that far from reality.

People like Ted Bundy are monsters that have no place in a civilized society.
But I think the real monsters haven‘t received the proper penalty, if any.

Trump botched the Covid response and told people to drink bleach. I‘m pretty sure this indirectly caused thousands of deaths.
Purdue Pharma possibly caused millions to become addicted to opiates. There were also countless deaths.

The justice system is bloody broken, because the people with millions of dollars get much better lawyers and receive a verdict that is laughable.
But if a black person is caught with phony money, they can count themselves lucky if they aren‘t killed by the police.

In January there will be a new president, who is a felon, and if we are lucky, democracy is more resistive than the justice system, which should have dealt with this conman and scammer before he was elected the first time.

I’ve wondered for a while why we as a society tend to accept and even elevate psychopaths as long as they don’t personally kill anybody when the ones who don’t do far more widespread damage. I was going to throw rape in there as well but apparently that’s completely acceptable now.

Interestingly I saw an article yesterday about a Vietnamese business leader getting sentenced to death for billions in fraud. A woman, no less. Equality! Their only defense in requesting a more lenient sentence was they can’t help recoup the money if they are dead. Here when large scale fraud is committed they just get fined for a less amount than the profit they made from the fraud.

Except he didn't.

I have to ask if you truly believe he told people to drink bleach or if you are just using hyperbole?

I don’t care how you frame it, it was probably the most ignorant statement he had ever made.
"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning, because you see it gets in the lungs and it does a tremendous number on the lungs, so it’d be interesting to check that, so that you’re going to have to use medical doctors with, but it sounds interesting to me. So, we’ll see, but the whole concept of the light, the way it kills it in one minute. That’s pretty powerful."

Of all the shit you’ve bashed Biden for saying while ignoring (and often defending) stuff like this is why nobody takes you seriously when it comes to your partisan divide.

The lie of this is amazing heartbeat at 18 days?? Sad when you have to lie to get what you want in religion

Two things, first, if I had posted something as absolutely wrong as that, my post would have been labeled "Misinformation". Second, I truly would like to know how many people believe he actually told people to drink bleach. Because if you do think he actually said it, then you need to expand your news sources.

Granted, what he said and the way he said it wasn't the best choice of words, but when you have a dishonest media who will take any little nugget and use it to mislead people it's no surprise the MSM is losing the trust of the people.

You may be conflating psycopathy with psychosis. Psychotics have a fucked-up take on reality that causes them to be seriously dysfunctional, while psychopaths understand proper social behavior and are usually effective manipulators who simply lack any empathy. Sociopaths are very similar to psychopaths, but without full-on vicious tendencies.

Sociopathy is a serious problem. A large subset of business leaders are sociopaths, and some of them are genuine psychopaths. Being effective manipulators, these people have risen into powerful positions where they are able to manipulate the greater discourse to convince normal people that their behavior is acceptable, necessary, even laudable and worth aspiring to.

This looks a lot like a flaw in the human make-up. Too many of us are willing, even eager, to delegate our decision making to someone else – all that person has to do is convince enough of us to put them in charge. Sociopaths and psychopaths are really good at that. There may be a way to reduce this issue to where it is not going to wipe us out, but it may be more difficult than we can manage.

TLDR: He screwed up and bungled the whole pandemic response, especially in that moment.

Except he didn't.

"I didn't say he was crazy, I said the cheese fell of his cracker and hit the hair-covered barber shop floor."

It's not really hyperbole to say he was thinking out loud - during a live press conference in the middle of a global pandemic with thousands of people dying in the US - if shining a light or injecting disinfectant could help. No, he didn't say bleach. Is that the hair you want to split?

The faces on the experts said it all, but then they are only doctors and not a master of every trade imaginable like Trump.

Granted, what he said and the way he said it wasn't the best choice of words, but when you have a dishonest media who will take any little nugget and use it to mislead people it's no surprise the MSM is losing the trust of the people.

To say it wasn't "the best choice of words" is far more of an understatement than saying he told people to drink bleach is hyperbole.

Here's Trump - instead of saying "I was thinking out loud" or something, he said he just said it to see what the press would say. Sounds like a responsible figure.

“I was asking a question sarcastically to reporters like you just to see what would happen,” Trump said.

Doesn't help that a good percentage of the right feels a psychopath is exactly what we need to lead the country, and that goes beyond just Trump.

Granted, he never advocated drinking bleach. What he said was

So, supposedly we hit the body with a tremendous, whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light, and I think you said that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way. (To Bryan) And I think you said you’re going to test that, too. Sounds interesting, right?"

"And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in one minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning

So, yeah, he did not suggest drinking bleach, rather something more like mainlining lysol.

And, quite honestly, it really does not matter what exactly he said, what matters is what people heard. "Exact words" are a type of pedantry that is not useful with respect to public dialog: how they get interpreted and spread is far more important.

As far as I can tell there are only 3 or 4 ways to putting disinfectant (or bleach) in the the body where the corona virus lives.

1. Injection via IV or shot.
2. Cut open body and take out your trusty lysol wipe. Wipe down the lungs, heart, kidneys before you sew the patient back up.
3. Drink/Eat disinfectant
4. Anal enigma <--- My preferred way.

@Herdfan if you have any other ideas on fighting the corona virus inside the body (which is what Trump meant), then let us know.

First of all, he did botch the Covid response, if you don't think so, you are frankly delusional.
EDIT: I stongly believe, had he done a halfway decent job in that department, he would have gotten a second term as the 45th president.

I stand corrected on the second part. Bleach poisioning apparently predates Trump's quote:

Here is the real quote (he did not mention bleach, but take the Family Feud style approach and and bleach will come up as the top disinfectant):

Now I remember that my thought while watching that press conference coverage was:
Yes, let's check it right here, right now, on you! Let's see if something interesting happens...

If one has zero knowledge of how the human body works, one should just STFU when it comes to medical topics and let the professionals handle it. But Trump had replaced Fauci with Birx, who didn't correct him, either because she was embarrassed or didn't want to embarrass the president (I wonder if Fauci would have stayed silent).
But Trump is a narcissist, so of course he has to hog the microphone.

I would only expect the Trump quote from a child or a stupid person. I let you guess what Trump is.

Oh, and there is this:

Let’s face it, the “drink bleach” is a riff bore out Trump’s ridiculousness. Darth Vader never actually said “Luke, I am your father”, but it serves the purpose.

Defending that moment of Trump’s - definitely a highlight in a career full of homerun braindead dipshit diptard moments - there’s nothing you won’t defend.

I imagine if he was charged with 99 felony forcible rape counts and one count of petty theft, the defense would be “those panties were a parting gift, he didn’t steal ‘em!”
