Don't forget the original Carroll judgement of $5 Million or so in 2023, on top of the $83.3 Million in January. Add that to the $355I think the first Carroll judgement was $80M, so, closing on $450M.
RNC is going to have to pick up the tab. This is the billionaire version of having your picture posted on the grocery store checkout lane - “Do not accept checks from this person”.
Can’t run a business. Can’t run a charity. Can’t run a scam “university” - I’d call it a pyramid scheme, but Trump U was just outright fraud. Not really a pyramid, more like a direct cash funnel.
How many lies, lawsuits, insurrections, indictments, convictions, settlements, social media outbursts, dictator praises and threats of violence will it take to convince people this guy is wholly unqualified and incapable of running anything other than a dysfunctional family? People think this dolt is the critical key to “saving” America. WTF.
What’s he up to - around $400M he has to escrow with courts pending appeals now? Wonder how much he’ll steal from campaign funds to do that,
I wonder are all the save the pac donations tax free? I would think since he is spending it on himself that he has to pay taxes on it. I would love for him to sue campaign money on this. that should go over well. What’s he up to - around $400M he has to escrow with courts pending appeals now? Senior Republicans fear Trump will tap the RNC to cover legal bills again
The president is going to put his people in place on the committee. Major changes are in store.www.politico.com

I mean doesn't the house always win?Left out that he couldn't figure out how to make a casino profitable.

Like the $10000 fine for violating the gag order. I think it should have been at least $1 Mill, but I guess that would have been called "unfair".It's nice to see the consequences are real and not the equivalent of one of us getting a $0.25 parking ticket.

Not even close, sounds like the court could be more lenient if the defendant shows some sort of remorse (maybe @Cmaier can speak to that) but Trump only knows defiance, would never admit to wrongdoing of any kind.I wonder it trump will ever learn that insulting judges will likely not work in his favor?
Of course not.
In this case lack of remorse was relevant, at least as to the equitable relief (all the non-money stuff). Not even close, sounds like the court could be more lenient if the defendant shows some sort of remorse (maybe @Cmaier can speak to that) but Trump only knows defiance, would never admit to wrongdoing of any kind.

Judge’s order talks a lot about lack of contrition, and uses it to go to Trump’s intent, which is a requirement for several of the charges.
