Trump 2: Electric Fuckyougaloo

MAGA vs Normal People
I think it's more nuanced than that, a lot of non-MAGA heads still voted for Trump and we can't ignore that. A bigger question is what had Democrats done for them in the 4 year prior, sure we didn't have all the divisiveness that comes with Trump but they basically sat on their asses instead of enacting change when they had a chance.

The other side of that is in Trump's first 90 days he's even losing Republicans in the latest polling and is way upside down when it comes to the economy. All those "working people just want affordable groceries" types have all crawled back under their rocks. Even under the worst of circumstances if Kamala had one it would've never been this bad. Talk about your unforced errors.

Among the many things we can learn from Trump, should there be another Democrat president, I think the power of the presidency needs to be reduced to a near symbolic PR position. I don't think there will be any power left that he hasn't abused or pushed to the extreme. Also taking from Trump, the president needs to be out there promoting things constantly. Voters have decided that if the president isn't doing that then there must be something very wrong or not much of anything is happening.

I guess this is one of those areas that I am going to respectfully disagree with. The Democrats spent the last few months driving one point home. This election was about two choices. Standing up for democracy or enacting Project 2025, arguably the most undemocratic political agenda we have seen. If someone with those two choices still voted for Shitler, then IMHO they are not normal people.

I fully agree here but it was too little too late, I'm referring to the last 4 years where they had failed to properly prosecute Trump and made no significant changes to prevent the plague that is now Donald Trump from infecting the world.

They didn't do enough and it's a systemic problem with the party, who is weak on almost all fronts. I mean how can you not look at Schumer wagging is grandpa finger at Republicans and not be infuriated by their total lack of any balls. Trump eats those people for breakfast.

Oh agreed they completely screwed the pooch. It doesn't just lie on the Dems though, all those staunch Fiscally responsible Hawks, Strong US World Presence, Anti Russian Republicans let this happen too.

I was just only disagree about the folks that voted for Trump but are non-MAGA. It is kinda like the Germans that weren't Nazis but knew all about what was going on in the camps. Their hands and souls are not clean.

I guess we're going to get to test the theory that Trump voters were more upset about the Democrats telling them the economy was great than whatever their actual experience or perception of the economy was as Trump is going out of his way to make the economy worse but telling people it's going to suck. With their logic they should be perfectly content with that and have no complaints about inflation. Trump told them it's going to suck and they voted for that kind of honesty.

It's one thing to be an isolationist by staying out of other countries' business. It's quite another to actively attempt to turn every country possible into an adversary. When is he going to announce construction of a high speed zip line between the US and Israel since we'll be the only safe tourist destination for the other.

This woman has deep empathy for her father, and her herself, and probably nobody else. She’s way too intelligent for this nonsense, and that’s the offensive part.

This is key, they literally couldn't give a rats ass about anyone else besides themselves or issues that only impact them directly.

Shitler announced almost every country except Russia.
But what about Republicans who kept talking about struggling families who just want affordable groceries before Trump took office, where are they now? Their silence is deafening.

90 days in folks and he's fucking the entire country. Strap in folks, it's going to be a long 4 years.

After tomorrow my 101k won’t be able to pay for a dozen eggs.

Yep, I'm ramping up my side hustle into a full time job now as I'm totally freaked out about what's going to happen to our net egg IRA account. It's something I enjoy as a part time hobby but never intended to have to really go back to work. :(

About those grocery prices and his agenda? Seriously just want to know if there's a line that can be crossed here. You spent the last 4 years bashing Biden for way less.

If you can’t afford groceries, do you really care about the indictments?

He's obnoxious. Typical New Yorker and as a general rule I don't like New Yorker's. And yes, I approve of most of his agenda.

This is the MAGA mentality, blatant hypocrisy. Trump could rob every penny from their bank accounts and they would still support him.

Hopefully you weren't expecting a retort from Herdfan. I imagine he'll be quiet for some time, until there is a slight bounce back or some twisted nugget by the administration to proclaim good news.

As they have said Wall Street and investors should just "Trust them" on the tariff strategy. It worked so well last time, and since we are enacting tariffs on countries with either zero exports or no population, who shouldn't trust them?
