I’m watching the campaign event that began with the Atlanta rally. It was a good speech - sharp and to the point.Harris just gave the best event I’ve seen since Joe Biden’s victory event where he came running out to accept his win, and the best campaign event I’ve seen since 2008.
Energy was off the charts, and it wasn’t a long and meandering speech that loses half the crowd. No dumb questions like “what’s happening with wind? Have you heard about the wind? Hannibal Lecter doesn’t like wind, you can’t run a car on wind. Sharks are attacking, what’s up with that?”
Hmm. I wonder if that could become problematic if a swing state governor was picked as VP, since he’d be the one vetoing the onslaught of bs. Conflict of interest and such. Anyone know if a similar situation has set a precedent? And they’re probably happier! Stole this from Mastodon:

Even more concerning is this:
These Swing State Election Officials Are Pro-Trump Election Deniers
Nearly 70 pro-Trump conspiracists are election officials in key battleground counties — and they are poised to make a giant mess on Election Day.www.rollingstone.com
Even if Democrats win …
Sinister and self destructive are much better labels for the MAGOTS.While calling Republican politicians weird might be a good strategy, the left wing to center media talking about its usage isn’t. I highly doubt right wing media posted articles titled “The effective brilliance of ‘libtard’”. It changes from something that might seem organic to something that is calculated manipulation and meaningless.
I love these comments:It won't do SHEE-IT!
If all the thousands of other stupid things Trump has said over the years hasn't sunk him, I doubt him calling someone a horrible jew will do much damage to him now.
Don't bother to vote, I don't need your vote
is an odd kind of campaign message
Hate and fear fuels the Right. While I don’t expect daily exciting Harris news, for at least weeks before Biden dropped out it felt like there was a major daily punch in the gut for anybody in the center or left of it between Trump, Republicans, and the Supreme Court.
Hope is contagious. I don’t know what fuels the right but it’s not hope. Maybe celebrating other people’s misery and persecution. Doesn’t sound like a good place to be.
Hate and fear fuels the Right.
That’s why they should sit this election out. “Fear and hate ’28!” really pops and just rolls off the tongue.
What are we fighting for?
2024!
