Musk going full Nazi

A Rivian R1S would've been a perfect choice. Full sized "real" SUV, US made (from a US company), 3-row with massive amounts of storage, with excellent tech, incredible performance (on and offroad). Plus, that would've been the return backhand in the face of Musk after the initial slap of getting rid of his Tesla.

I get that a BEV isn't the best choice for some people, but since he already owned one, it seems like he "got it".

Unless I’m missing something, only one service center in Arizona. I wouldn’t buy a Rivian if I lived there.

I wouldn't/didn't either (yet :) ), but we're talking about a very specific bit of arm waving / chest pounding by Mark Kelly, disposing of a Tesla. Another EV from a pure play EV company here in the US would've been such an incredible statement. A Tahoe just sounds like HERF DERF DONT LIKE EV as much as he claims to not like Musk.

Hell, the dude has an estimated net worth (according to several sites) of like $10M-30M, and the service center is like 2 hours away, he could just score a backup and/or hired a "service driver" (plus I bet Rivian would've made the experience extra stellar)

I don’t think it’s off topic at all - after all Musk (and the fell-off-the-cliff right wing) contends that too much empathy is the reason for why western civilization will collapse. I shit you not.
 
Musk went on Rogan and said empathy is threatening civilization. There's also several Christian books claiming the same. I appreciate the sociopath honesty that defines him and the Trump administration. As the most hated man on the planet I hope he realizes that's what is at play as his empire crumbles, zero empathy from the world. Quit your whining and literal crying.
 
Wow man people are going off the deep end. What sucks is those who work for, sell, etc. Teslas are the ones who suffer the most.

Those of us who are not top-tier professionals are fairly well trapped by the structure of the job market. Employers have a lot of power over their workers, who can find themselves in a difficult position moving to another job. Most people do what they do because their alternatives are profoundly limited.
