The Democrat agenda 2022 and going forward

Biden's plan comes to fruition. It'll be a great note for him to go out on, let's hope it holds.

Gaza ceasefire deal reached between Israel, Hamas; truce to begin Sunday

Um, no. This is the exact same deal Israel has been rejecting for months. It doesn't even have language to remove Hamas from power. What this is, is Trump's team going in preemptively and telling Bibi he's done fucking around (as if there is anything left to destroy anyway) and Trump doesn't want to deal with this shit when he enters the office. In exchange Israel will get any land grab it wants with Trump's blessing. All Biden accomplished was the prolonged suffering and destruction in Gaza with US aid. This is the Iranian hostage release all over again with a slight change in timing.

According to this site Harris not separating herself from Biden on Gaza was the top reason some Democrats didn’t vote this election. It goes without saying Trump wasn’t the better option on that one, but it’s still the reason given.

Gaza was a Lose-Lose for the Dems. Go too pro-Israel and lose the pro-Palestinian voters. And vice-versa.

Trump was never getting the pro-Palestinian vote anyway so he could try to pull in some Jewish voters.

You betcha, they'll sign it into law the day Democratic president gets indicted.

Biden calls for amending Constitution to say no president should have immunity for crimes committed in office

It's time for Dems to let this go and move on, I don't know that I've ever been more disappointed in the party.

I find it interesting that I’m seeing a lot of mainstream articles and coverage on the death and destruction in Gaza. It’s like they all figured out they have 1 week to say what they’ve always wanted to but have to have it out of their system before Trump is in office.

As far as lose/lose, regardless of how you feel
About the situation, the pro Palestinian outrage people had it right on actual policy and actions. Biden didn’t even pump the breaks but still got faulted for being associated with the left who don’t even like Democrats.

I am fed up with the damn Democrats. Being less evil than the Republicans is no longer enough.

Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect.
Frank Wilhoit

The Democrats continue to insist on playing by the rules. The RW contines to insist on flouting the rules. How does a team hope to gain ground against a team that says fuck you, we do what we want ?

The Democrats simply lack the tools to compete with the Republicans. They have no agenda, short of keeping the Rs in check, which seems to be well outside their ability at this point.

So, where do we go from here?

The national Democrat party seeming to not give a shit about anything other than birthright citizenship, and only because that's in the constitution, is not a good look. Even the tech oligarchs they are beholden to above all else dumped them for MAGA. They need to seriously be put out of their misery and replaced with a completely different party. There's nothing to lose and it's not unprecedented. The Republicans replaced the Wigs for the exact same reason. They didn't fight for a damn thing.

I can't speak for all Democrats but I've personally thrown in the towel at this point, they won and the country is their oyster. With that will come 100% of the responsibility and accountability. Let's see how it plays out over the next few years but there is next to nothing the party can do.

They may not be able to do much legislatively but they can quit capitulating and acting like he has a mandate he doesn’t have. It’s a big FU to the many who didn’t vote for him and a full display of why many don’t trust or vote for Democrats.

They don’t have the luxury of going “Well, I guess that’s what the people voted for.” If it was then they wouldn’t be in office.

And it's one of the main reasons they lost. In the end Democrats just have no balls and Trump kept stomping them into the ground as a result. The closest thing we have right now is AOC, who isn't taking anyone's shit and is actually taking steps to get things done. IMO we need more of this and less whining about Trump.

Not exactly the Democrat agenda but it seems the right doesn’t have a monopoly on dumb contrarianism. The drug cartels should have been labeled terrorists a long time ago and I don’t care about the hypothetical future implications. It’s what they are. Probably the main reason they haven’t been before is because they are a part of the deep state and a massive source of dark money for the US directly and indirectly. They cause way more death and misery to US citizens than some mob of Iranians burning flags and saying mean things.

I also fail to see how this official label is going to make things worse for Mexican tourism. Who are the idiots completely unaware of the Mexican drug cartels and that there are parts of Mexico you should absolutely not go to? US to Mexico tourism is the height of willful ignorance and arrogance. Countless Mexican citizens get killed by cartels and hundreds of politicians get assassinated annually and close to nobody gets prosecuted for it. But if a tourist wanders out of a pristine beach safe zone and gets killed it gets international headlines and it becomes a top priority for the Mexican government.

If you think we’re now in an endless loop of US Presidents spending all their time reversing the actions of the previous President, that’s what happens at minimum with Mexican Presidents and the drug cartels. It’s practically like it’s in their constitution to auto hit the reset button with the cartel relations as soon as a new President enters the office.

What Trump or the US is going to do about this I don’t know, but labeling them terrorists is far from a bridge too far.

Good for her for calling out both sides, now we know why Pelosi hates her. IMO she's going to rise up in the next few years.

AOC has said there is insider trading in Congress. "It's so crazy... we're supposed to act like money only corrupts Republicans? Give me a fucking break."

For the apathetic Kamala holdouts.

Leave it to Fetterman to be uniquely out of touch with reality. In a recent interview he partially blames Democrat losses on labeling masculinity toxic. Meanwhile at the exact same time you have the 2 most powerful self proclaimed and labeled by some as masculine men in the country in the process of burning the government down and fucking as many people over as possible.

I'm not saying Democrats didn't lose some votes because of that perception...largely dictated to them by the media. I'm saying specifically now is not the time to preach the virtues of masculinity when the toxicity of it is on full display in everybody's face.

Toxic masculinity? I thought they lost over the price of eggs, I'm confused. 🤷‍♂️

They also lost because Harris would be terrible for the Palestinians.

BTW. immigrants are currently being deported at about the same rate as Obama. He just didn't turn it into a reality show which is all the rubes really needed.

And good thing he put a stop to the menace that is transgender women in sports, all 10 of them. It was an epidemic! Although, I don't even know why we let women play sports. It just turns them into lesbians and is antithetical to preparing them for life as a housewife. Any life path other than that is an abomination against the laws of God.

Now, can we do the big tax cuts for corporations and the wealthy? Please?!? I'm pretty sure that's why he made gains with black people and latinos. It's just common sense. All data will be shredded by next weekend so that we can defer to 19th century white man common sense.

Speaking of common sense, I hope the Democrats don't continue with their thumb up their ass, deer in the headlights shtick when Trump defies a court order because that will happen. If that just gets responded to with disapproval face than it's time to pack it in.
