The Republican Agenda 2021 and Forward

Something that is regularly heard from Trump supporters on their views of career politicians “They only look out for their own self interests.” WTF is wrong with these people? It’s like their brain occasionally sparks on but as soon as they gaze in Trump’s direction it shuts down to the point that they’ll completely do a 180 on what they just said or thought.

The only thing I can think of that explains this is a lifetime of community and church leaders saying one thing while doing the opposite. They’ve been programmed to ignore actions and only pay attention to propaganda.

More republican voters think Trump is more mentally competent than Haley.

:ROFLMAO: at the Haley numbers. There are only 2 possible ways to explain the 39%, reflexive contrarianism or sexism. Critical thinking does not exist with these people.

GOP is strictly the party of MAGA now.

RNC Chair Ronna McDaniel announces her resignation

Former President Donald Trump has already endorsed a new slate of leaders at the Republican National Committee ahead of the general election.

“When it comes to politics, we have moved on from being a Republican Party who turns the other cheek,” said Taylor Budowich, the CEO of the pro-Trump super PAC MAGA Inc. “And while we are laser-focused on winning in November, if someone spits on our shoe, we have no problem delivering a fist to their throat.”

👆 I will not say all Republicans behave this way, but now that Trump has a strangle hold on the Republican party, the sentiment is the way the party will behave.

Another nail in the cult coffin. I’m actually full in favor of letting Trump’s daughter in-law handle the GOP money. The RNC is going to split in two before the year is out, are these people really going to fall in line as Trump gets direct control over RNC spending?

How’s that going to work with his businesses under scrutiny?

Jack Smith (and others) will be very busy prosecutors.

Easy way for TFG to get all the $$.

Update on the Fani Willis case.

The judge has ordered Wade's former law partner to testify on his knowledge of the relationship between Wade and Willis. Bradley claimed privilege, but the judge said no.

I like how the Alabama court ruling has caused all the discussion to shift to IVF, and all the republicans are getting their say. Many of them are pretending to be moderates, "Oh, we have to protect IVF. We need more children, we need to protect parents."

Which makes me sick, because I'm not interested in the opinion of people on how to solve a problem they themselves caused in the first place.

Eventually this is all going to turn on them, they've gone of the deep end with any and all issues around women's reproductive decisions and if the last couple of elections are any sort of indication it could very well tank them across the board in November.

I'm not at that level of confidence. Too many moving parts for me. I'm nervous as hell.

On one hand I agree with @Eric about the abortion issue being a loser for the R's and it will probably tip a few seats. I see the House going back Blue, but the Senate going Red simply due a brutal map for the Dems as they are defending 23 seats, many in Purple or Red states.

As for President, I can see paths for both candidates, but as you noted, so many moving parts.

Yeah...my comment was more about the overall situation (rather than women's rights). Thus not a good response to Eric's post looking at it again - sorry Eric. :(

I'm just super frustrated with the whole state of affairs the country is in.

The bigger problem is the candidates in the Red States are more likely to be Trump ally's which scares me more. I could handle Regan Conservatives, MAGA nuts are going to be the demise of this country.
