I'm going to oversimplify something that I still feel is accurate. A lot of young men aren't getting laid. Being a Republican will in no say solve that, will probably make it worse, but at least they'll be encouraged to be angry and resentful about it.

Literally nobody here will be truly surprised, and you don’t come off smarter than anyone on this site at all. You’re not some super-aware truth-teller. You’re a sad troll.
 
Young people are not flocking to republicans, and the polls will show that come election time. Young conservatives - the same college kids and young dipsticks who shout antisemitic and racist troupes at protests and rallies - are a sub-cult of the MAGA cult. They’re on YouTube and social media with their “I’m a 19 year old alpha-male who knows white Christian males are the bees knees and we love our women to be servile” schtick.

There absolutely is a generation of young people who learned from Trump you can be a low-IQ disgusting pig and still find success - with other like-minded individuals. And MAGA folks have kids, and many kids take after their parents… I’m sure there’s plenty of young conservatives (I use the term loosely), but there is no flocking going on.

The devil will be in the details after Election Day.

This is a fair enough criticism, considering we are a left leaning board. However, I will try to put the way we have been feeling about Biden a different way. He's our guy and while Republicans and Fox News have always hated and railed against him, it doesn't mean they were wrong about his mental decline.

The issue is that Republicans have either remained dead silent or baselessly attacked him when he has done well in the past, so much so that even when they end up being right it rings hollow. Now couple that with the fact that you come here and pile on, when never even acknowledging a Democrat who has done well, is just trolling and insulting.

Just want you to understand where we are coming from. It's like one of us joining a MAGA board just to gloat when he got convicted. Whether we like it or not he's their guy and it's uncool.

The thing is the bill, if passed, changes absolutely nothing. It was just a statement of support. Nothing about legislative abortion limits or bans. There’s no finer points for Republicans to argue. They’re on the record saying women don’t have reproductive rights, period. 🤣 Lazy fucking lemming idiots.

But at the same time, the GOP has forced 198 Dems into voting that non-citizens should be allowed to vote in our elections. Yeah, they can try and hide behind "voter suppression", but it still looks bad.

How does everyone pronounce MAGA?

The reason I ask is because we pronounce things in our heads that might be different that how they are pronounced when speaking. I can't say I have every spoken the word MAGA, so when you hear someone say it in a way that different than how you hear it in your head, it gets confusing. The rest of the post is hidden by a SPOILER tag so you can think about it before you see how I or others pronounce it.

I have always heard it in my head as MA GA. Short A like Ma then a Gu (short U). But hearing Biden say it the other night, he pronounced it Mag A (short A).

No idea which way others hear it or pronounce it.

I think the way you said Biden pronounced it. Never really thought about it but I think thats the way sources I follow pronounce it.

I sometimes think about how I’ve probably seen an odd celebrity or email name a million times but have never heard or had to say it before.

I have heard actress Margo Robbie’s last name pronounced with both a Long O and Short O by professionals on TV. You know, people who are paid to know how to pronounce names. 😳

For a party so concerned with pronouns you wouldn't think it would matter, but since we're splitting hairs I think the proper way is "bigot".
