I wish the punitive damages were even higher, say $100 million or more. Either way, I bet he keeps it up. I wonder if there's any limit to how many times she can sue him if he does.
I know this isn’t the reason, but it’s nice to see a judgment that is somewhat commensurate with the perpetrator’s wealth. The earlier predictions were pocket change for Trump. There’s at least one European country where they base their speeding ticket fines on the speeder’s wealth. I think I read there was one that was over $100k.
I think this case is a preview of what’s to come with the rest of the cases. Give the court and the jury every reason to find him guilty with the highest penalty allowed and then whine to his supporters that it’s all a witch hunt. Over the long run I think this tactic is going to be a massive fail.
