Trump pulled his most dictator move yet. During his whiny sore winner speech in New Hampshire Senator Tim Scott was on stage with him. Tim Scott and Nikki Haley were Republican colleagues in South Carolina and AFAIK they didn’t have any issues with each other, but in front of everybody Trump asked Scott how much he must hate Haley now. Scott deflected by saying how much he loves Trump.
This reminds me of the infamous footage of Sudam Hussain addressing an auditorium of government officials. At some point he had a bunch of random people hauled out of the room claiming they were conspiring against him. Seeing what was going on several members jumped up to yell praise for Sadam. You could clearly see this was done more out of fear than sincerity, but psychopaths like Sadam and Trump don’t care about sincerity. They prefer the fear. The remaining members were rewarded by being made the executioners of the people who were hauled out. I have to admit that’s some top-shelf evil dictator shit.
