Because you misunderstood their anger. Yes prices are still high, but the anger was because the Administration and the campaigns were telling people the economy was great even though they were seeing something different.

Egg prices are high. And will be for most of 2025. Killing 100M chickens will do that.

But again, some of the anger was because the Dems were telling people something completely opposite of what they were experiencing.

I do agree people being told the economy is doing well based on the traditional metrics (how the wealthy are doing) contributed for some people, but far more people were mad about actual day to day costs. Is your side of the media moving the goal posts to now say that they were really not all that mad about prices?

Luckily that's going to swiftly be put to the test as Trump seems hellbent on making things worse.

It's the only logical conclusion here. I can dig up a treasure trove of posts where he is criticizing Biden and Democrats while stating those in need are the ones suffering the most. Now it's zip. All that matters is his guy at the helm, it was never about the actual people.

For years they berated us and not even a month in Trump plunging us deeper than Biden ever could ever have. It won't be from a natural economical shift or a pandemic. It will be from one man on a mission to raise your prices for gas and groceries, a staple these Republicans ran on. They have no shame.
 
Naturally, one of the CongrossMAGAts has gone there, again. Personally, I would prefer the suggestion seen elsewhere, that we skip the likeness part and permanently affix his actual face to the mountain (there are a lot of trees there that could serve the purpose).

He’s going to have to ramp up his hatred (which he appears to already be doing, as blaming the crash on DEI without any knowledge of anything really is already causing pain for people, as Eric showed us above).

It all feels surreal, I’m not even upset. I don’t even think republicans know how to respond, their bravado isn’t all that powerful right now, they’re probably as in the dark as we are.

In a way you have to marvel at how they really simplified things down to a single stereotype. As of two weeks ago if anything bad happens if it's anybody other than a straight white guy connected to it then that's the entire reason it happened according to Trump and MAGA.

A bit of a problem though. There are far more people who aren't straight white guys and I believe they are going to start taking issue along with the straight white guys who agree with them taking issue.

Also there's a vast difference between sitting in your recliner at home mad about immigrants and non straight white men and actually knowing people personally who are going to suffer from this ignorance, and unless your entire life exists on that recliner then you do know these people. It's going to impact even straight white guys, if not directly.
