It did after I was told my MAGA opinions were not welcome and "there must be plenty of MAGA forums you can go peddle your bullshit on". Since then I have largely stayed out of theses threads. But I like most of you and seem to interact just fine on other topics, so I didn't want to risk being banned. So the message was received loud and clear.

Honestly, egg prices suck right now. And my wife uses about 3-5 dozen a week in her business. So it's a good thing we have 2 Costco memberships (she is on her mom's, and me and the offspring also have one) so we were able to get 2 5 dozen packs for $18.xx each the last time we were there. So that was good. Just have to be there when they open.

Actually I think I bashed Biden on all prices, but again the issue was the WH was telling people something opposite of what they were seeing or experiencing. The media/WH spent the campaign calling the issue of high prices a RW talking point, but people saw something different when they went to the store. It's one thing to talk about illegal migrant crime being a RW talking point because it doesn't affect most people, so the media can say it's being overblown or overstated and unless you are directly affected, it means less. But when people are at the store every week and seeing something completely different that what they are being told, they don't take that too well.



Yes, I understand they are the ones who voted, but I think the reasons why they voted the way they did are completely misunderstood by the Dems. Nor do they have any inclination to understand, so they are going to just double down on what caused millions of Americans to abandon them.

As much time as you spent eviscerating Democrats for the exact same issues STILL happening, and even worsening, under Trump is worthy of calling out and that’s why I do it.

Had you came in and said “shit, I was hoping Trump would be better than Biden” we would be having a very different conversation.

It speaks to the hypocrisy, not just pointing the finger at you but anyone who lets shit slide as long as it’s their guy. We don’t see enough people standing for a belief instead.

In fact, I do not believe that is accurate. The administration never said anything about prices being low. They said the economy was strong, which very often does lead to higher prices – because they can. I know most here don't support the death penalty but I do pretty strongly. I've disagreed with Obama, Biden, and Newsom on it, and now I agree with Trump on it.

Regardless of who is in charge that has never changed and it's nice to have a conviction to believe in rather than changing my opinions based on who is in office. There's nothing wrong with thinking for yourself, Republicans completely lack that ability.

I do not mean to derail, but it is pretty complicated. I do not support the death penalty largely because "criminal justice" is so arbitrary (the base principle being out-groups that the law binds but does not protect and in-groups that the law protects but does not bind). Luigi Mangione is an example of a person who rightly deserves execution, but is it truly just? What if someone was to dispatch Ell'no Musk? How would we approach that?
