Yes. I felt stunned watching it. The diplomatic combination of a mob boss demanding protection money and a Monarch demanding endless gratitude. Just gtfo. To any Americans reading this. Wherever you stand on this issue, having the leader of the nation with the emotional regulation of a toddler is trouble for your country.

What I just witnessed with Zelenskyy in the White House and Trump and Vance’s treatment of him, is one of the most disgraceful things I can recall in terms international relations. Just fundamentally awful.

Unbelievable just how much disrespect Trump and Vance showed this man who was invited into their house just to get so viciously attacked. Zelensky wasn't having it and good for him being the only one in the world right now willing to stand up to that fudking tyrnat Trump.

A week ago, I figured its about time to get my FID card. Since they have a portal now, the Boston licensing dept can't just never pick up the phone. I got a call yesterday that they needed me to come down with ID and pay a $100 fee... Fine. Once done I was told you'll get a call 3 - 4 months to come down for fingerprints. with the heaviest heart we have decided that we cannot travel to Atlanta this year. The reason is as simple as omnipresent: the new Trump administration and their new world order. Trump/Vance/Musk are tearing down everything what has been build up since ww2. They rewrite history and turn around the victim-aggressor role denying that Ukraine has been invaded by Putin with 150.000 soldiers, they call Ukraine’s president a dictator who doesn’t uphold election even though they know that elections are forbidden in Ukraine during war by their constitution, they send Vance over here telling us to start collaborating with the AfD Nazi party here in Germany, they spit on the truth and think freedom of speech means license to lie and to insult. Obviously they are about to destabilize the western world order so they can rewrite it to their needs, to make even more money.

We are deeply worried about this and simply do not feel safe and welcome anymore in your country. Of course we know that only 50% of the voters voted for Trump and that 50% didn’t vote at all. We feel extremely sorry for those of you who think the same, but at this point we can’t foresee what will happen in the next months. Maybe things will calm down and your admin will somehow get back to their senses. Or will they proclaim the American-Russian federation? All is possible and this scares the hell out of us.

We hope to return to Atlanta some other time in a better world like now. I hope you can understand and accept our decision.

I know a lot of Republicans are bashing people for choosing BMW over Tesla because of the Holocaust, it's no different than attacking white people whose ancestors were slave owners.

In fact, I would argue that Germany has learned a great deal from Hitler in what not to do, they won't put up with all that hate speech over there and 90% of these assholes on Twitter would be getting a knock on the door for the shit they post. All of that is what led to the holocaust, we've learned nothing from them and are heading down the same path with Trump IMO.

I'm struggling to understand what was so disrespectful about Zelenskyy highlighting that the war started in 2014 for his people and that it has spanned multiple US presidencies - both red and blue.
I honestly feel despondent today, not necessarily at Trump and Vance but what has shocked me is the damage control, comments from folks like Lindsey Graham and other GOP politicians who came out and were 'offended' by Zelenskyy... how!? I mean did these folks not watch the full unedited news conference like the rest of us?! How can they not condemn the president and vice presidents behavior today?!
Zelenskyy was bullied publicly - talked over, not allowed to answer a battery of questions , blocked from finishing a sentence (in a language other than his mother tongue I might add) and the raised voices in the room were from Vance and Trump. Zelenskyy was quite dignified IMHO with how he represented himself and Ukraine. This was a train wreck.
I'm seriously fearful for Ukrainians if US pulls all support.

My guess it that Trump sent a memo for them all to get down on their knees and start sucking. What's more startling than any of it is how the only person brave enough to stand up to Trump is a man who has lost everything and given his all to his country.

We should all be ashamed of our country right now, I hope the millions who voted for this guy are happy with their decision. Egg prices have never been higher, tens of thousands have lost their jobs, the market is tanking, and now we're being led into a possible war by the most insecure president ever elected. 100% on Donald Trump over the last month alone, God help us all for the next 4 years.

Until now I though that Trump was simply a narcissistic, aggressive merchant who doesn’t see anything beyond his backyard and has a weakness for a „strong dude“, but after tonight I start to be more and more convinced that the Russian asset theories might be true. Two things have happened in parallel with the attack on Zelenskyy - announcement that US will stop supporting the Ukrainian power grid after Russian attacks, and the order to stop cybersecurity countermeasures against Russia. These are not things that are done in a split second. It must have been planned beforehand. The US has shown their new allegiances.

Sadly, the unthinkable has happened. The US does not represent the western world anymore. The world order and the security system just got rolled back to 19th century. I feel that the consequences will be difficult to predict.
