Not petty at all. It’s the opposite. Not being a parent or really having close family, it’s difficult to put myself in her shoes.

It only gets worse from here. Literally nothing is going to get better in this country, and soon the world. We don’t have the power to push back like before. I’d love to be wrong but I’m just adding 2 + 2 here.
 
I may go to the thing with the people, but the minute it starts to get unpleasant, I will be outta there.
 
I wonder if the nation’s meteorologists are throwing shade at the nation’s pollsters? “Answer us this about "slight chance" predictions. Which is worse, not needing the umbrella you believed you would need or waking up to a category 8 authoritarian shitshow?” 🤔

I don’t consider it petty, if you are trying to maintain some level of family relationships but avoid a war or harsh words. I have 2 brothers who voted for Trump, one would keep his mouth shut and other would say something. I don’t live close to either one of them and have no plans to get together for Thanksgiving. However, we are driving to Austin to see my wife’s family who leans mostly liberal. :)

I don’t trust the judgement of anyone who would willingly associate themselves with him. I cannot think of RFK Jr. without thinking of something Larry David would say.

I mean, I do not expect much from MAGA, but imagine choosing between qualified individuals and RFK Jr. for any role in healthcare.

I kid you not, if the hospital was hiring a janitor, RFK would not make the cut. There are literally stricter standards for fast food workers and janitors than Trump’s cabinet picks.
