Instead they teach incest, rape, adultery, cannibalism and murder during Sunday School to a bunch of little children. There is no hypocrisy like Republican hypocrisy.Pretty sure there aren't any pictures that will get me warned.
I went to a Presbyterian service in Butler County, PA, and the dude giving the sermon kept going on and on about how we should wear Jesus’ skin. (My daughter and I didn’t laugh TOO loud)Instead they teach incest, rape, adultery, cannibalism and murder during Sunday School to a bunch of little children. I think it's time we legislated what and how they can teach their doctrine. Do it for the children, we all love the children.I went to a Presbyterian service in Butler County, PA, and the dude giving the sermon kept going on and on about how we should wear Jesus’ skin. All those guys love the children just a little too muchI think it's time we legislated what and how they can teach their doctrine. Do it for the children, we all love the children.
That's all fine, just keep them away from trans people. All those guys love the children just a little too much
Hey, all I asked was a tag of NSFW. I happened to view that pic at work, and boy did I learn my lesson. Haven't been as active (still am from time to time), when in the office.Yes, to do so would be at your own peril.
He got the media and a former candidate for Governor pretty good this past week.
He made a video and in it he posted some pages from books found in Fl school libraries. As the video played, the networks had to cut their feeds because it was too graphic to be shown on TV.
I won't post or link it because the last time I posted a pic from a book (Gender Queer) found in an elementary school library it was deemed too graphic for the board. But a quick youtube search for "Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis speaks about book bans" should find it.
And then Nikki Fried (ran against Charlie Crist for the Dem nomination for FL Governor) posted a pic from the video and called it porn. Well, Sherlock, I think you just made his point.

Touche, wanted to say more but... I have tried to turn over a new Herdfan leaf. No longer going to wrestle in the muck with you. At least not today.I again, I apologize.
But who would have thought that a pic in an elementary school library book would not be safe for work?

I'm sure most people remember that photo of Michael Dukakis in a tank that got ridiculed because he was acting like something he wasn't.
Well now we have the DeSantis Top Gov video with him posing as an aviator that to me is equally ridiculous given his background as a JAG officer and his mousey voice. Has this received its well earned ridicule?
Republican lawmakers are proposing to expand legislation that would further limit majors and minors available to Florida university students, which would exacerbate concerns from faculty and other opponents of the bill that has already shaken up higher education in the state.
The legislation also would further undermine tenure protections for professors.
The bill in question is HB 999 and it’s called Public Postsecondary Educational Institutions. Lawmakers will be discussing an updated version at a Monday committee meeting, where they will decide whether to accept or reject new expanded language in the bill.
The American Association of University Professors said that the proposed language would “enact the most draconian restrictions on higher ed in US history. It bans all majors & minors in ANY critical theory & allow unqualified political appointees to call for post-tenure review of any faculty member at any time,” according to a Saturday tweet.
As currently written, HB 999 prompts the Board of Governors, which oversees the state university system, to give “direction to each constituent university on removing from its programs any major or minor in Critical Race Theory, Gender Studies, or Intersectionality, or any derivative major or minor of these belief systems,” according to the legislation.
This is what true fascism looks like, DeSantis makes Trump look like a boy scout.
well Florida is a good place for that then it may just wash away one day.On the bright side, hopefully he'll gather most of his fans near him so they can live in the paradise he's creating for them. I have nothing against crazy people. But it would be really swell if we could gather them all into a single state. A tidying up of America if you will.
How about a single nation, as per MTGreen's recent suggestion about splitting the U.S. according to which states are red and which are blue? Generally speaking, red states are net importers of federal funds so they would be in even worse shape than they are now if totally dependent on GOP leadership. But at least they won't have objectionable M&M colors. But it would be really swell if we could gather them all into a single state. A tidying up of America if you will.
Fact is, most of the people who live in red states would rather live in the US than in Bubbastan. The people who want their own RW nation are a loud minority, just like the Confederates. Most people in the Confederacy would have preferred to stay in the US, but most people are not typically loud. How about a single nation, as per MTGreen's recent suggestion about splitting the U.S. according to which states are red and which are blue?
